Rated capacity is 2200 mAh at 7.2 V. Capacity is the honest figure to compare between packs; quoted operating hours depend on the 5/5/90 duty cycle and fall with high power, analogue mode and cold weather.

Charge cycle life is 500 cycles. Lithium-ion capacity declines with cycles and with calendar age, so a pack in daily service typically needs replacing every two to three years — before it fails, not after a radio has died mid-shift.

Ingress protection is IP68. The rating of a radio holds only if the fitted battery carries the same class; a lower-rated pack lowers the protection of the whole assembly.

Hazardous-area protection is Ex ib IIB T3 Gb (gas) / Ex ibD 21 T155°C Db (dust), CCC+GB-Ex. Certification applies to the assembly, not to the radio alone: a certified handset fitted with a standard battery is no longer certified and may not be taken into a classified zone.

Operating temperature range is -20℃ ~ 60℃ (discharge).
