This package answers a specific situation: a small operation where PMR coverage is not practical, PoC is the right technology, and the business would rather own its system than rent one.

What is in it

An integrated appliance carrying the core functions, and a set of PoC radios. Setup is creating subscribers and talkgroups — beyond that it works out of the box, over the 3G/4G or WLAN connectivity the business already has.

Why own rather than subscribe

Two reasons, and they are worth stating plainly:

Data stays inside the business. Voice traffic and user records are held on the premises rather than on a service provider’s platform.
No recurring per-user charge. For a stable team over several years, the arithmetic favours ownership; for a fluctuating one, it does not.

What it is not

It is a voice-first system for a small number of users. It does not carry the dispatch, analytics and multi-tenant management of the Pro platform, and it is not a substitute for narrowband radio where an outage of the mobile network would stop the operation.

For teams whose work is on one site rather than across the country, DMR usually remains the better and cheaper answer.
