TechnoRF supplied and integrated durable Hytera BP series digital handsets for the Private Secretariat Directorate of Uzunköprü Municipality, to speed up daily coordination and bring more order to internal communication. The project did not stop at delivery: indoor and outdoor coverage testing was carried out to ensure there is no dropout on the transitions between key offices. The BP series — light body, intelligent battery, noise suppression — gives the secretariat one-key contact for meeting calls, field team direction and urgent notifications. User training was delivered and call protocols were standardised so that traffic on the channel is clearer and more controlled.

The private secretariat of a municipality is a coordination function rather than a field one. Its traffic is short, frequent and time-sensitive: assembling people for a meeting, locating a director, passing an instruction to a team that has already left the building. Telephone handles each of these badly — it requires knowing who to call, waiting for an answer, and repeating the message. One-key group contact removes all three steps, which is why the improvement is felt in the pace of the working day rather than in any single call.

Municipal buildings are not designed for radio and are often more difficult than their size suggests: thick masonry in older structures, service cores that block paths between wings, basements holding archives and plant, and outbuildings across a yard. Testing the transitions — office to corridor, wing to wing, building to yard — is what finds the dropouts, because those are the points where a call is most likely to be attempted and most likely to fail.

A radio channel with no agreed protocol degrades into a channel nobody listens to. Standardising how a call is opened, how the intended recipient is identified, how long a transmission should be and how it is acknowledged makes the traffic legible and cuts the number of repeats. This costs one training session and changes the usability of the system more than any hardware choice available at this scale.

Selection was based on daily carry rather than headline specification. A light body means the radio is worn rather than left on a desk. Intelligent battery management means the device is charged when it is needed rather than discovered flat. Noise suppression matters even in an office context, because the calls that matter most are often placed from a corridor, a vehicle or a site visit rather than from a quiet room.

Even for a small deployment, the questions are the same as for a large one. Coverage measured in the actual building rather than assumed, a channel plan that separates administrative traffic from field operations, battery endurance across a working day, accessory suitability for how staff carry the device, training so that the protocol is shared, and a service route with a defined response time.
