Nobody replaces a working radio estate in one step. This package is built around that fact: broadband PTT arrives alongside the existing PMR network rather than instead of it.

Bridging voice is straightforward. What determines whether a mixed estate actually works is whether a PMR radio ID and a broadband user ID resolve to the same person under the same dialling rules. Get that wrong and the dispatcher has two directories describing one workforce.

Which features must carry across the bridge and which may not. Voice and group calls carry reliably; encryption, priority and advanced data generally do not.
