Storage is easy. What a court asks is who accessed the file, when, and whether it changed. A system that records every view, export and edit answers that; a shared drive does not, regardless of how well it is backed up.

Cloud or on-premises. On-premises keeps the material inside the organisation, which is frequently a policy requirement rather than a preference; cloud reduces the infrastructure to maintain. Under KVKK, retention periods and access rules belong in the design, not in a later policy document.
